NIH admits to funding Gain of Function research at Wuhan
Following the resurgence of the lab leak theory of COVID-19, there have been an increasing number of speculations over the NIH financing Gain of Function research in China. The NIH throughout has been on the backfoot claiming that to have never funded Gain of Function research in China’s Wuhan labs.
However, after years of denials, the NIH director last month told the congress that the NIH did fund Gain of Function research in Wuhan. The news automatically raised questions of the NIH’s previous stance while the director tried to justify himself using various definitions of Gain of Function research.
Senator Rand Paul having certain email conversations between Fauci and his aide Morens escalated the situation resulting in the congress hearing of Fauci on 3rd June 2024. The mails directly pointed towards Fauci and his colleagues trying to bypass federal law to evade litigation and future consequences.
The emails also prompted Elon Musk to call for the prosecution of Fauci on X.
Fauci admits COVID guidelines were not based on science
During the hearing on 3rd June, Fauci was grilled on several issues by the congress where one of the ugliest truths came to light
Fauci admitted that the guidelines deliberated during the pandemic did NOT have any scientific basis.
When questioned about masking, Fauci says he does not recall any references. But when it came to social distancing of 6 feet, Fauci says “sort of just appeared” without scientific input.

Discrediting the lab leak theory
The emails with Senator Paul also indicated that Fauci contributed to publishing the paper in Nature Medicine titled “**The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2”** . In the paper, authors suggest a Natural origin for COVID claiming that it is by no means a manmade construct delegitimizing the lab leak theory.
The emails show that the authors of the publications frequented communication with Fauci and former NIH director Francis Collins sharing at least five to ten drafts of the manuscript with them before finally submitting it to Nature Medicine.
On this matter, Fauci has claimed that he is not an evolutionary virologist but was happy to discuss with them and provide any inputs from his expertise. He claims to have not prompted the authors in writing the manuscript.
Many use this manuscript published in Nature Medicine to suggest that the lab leak theory is a conspiracy. This explains why the article has over 6000 citations. It also called for a hearing from the authors. In this hearing held on the 18th of June, Bob Garry, one among the researchers to have authored the paper, was grilled for lying to the people about the natural origin of COVID-19.

COVID is an eye opener sorts to the propaganda we awake to in the name of science. The scientific process allows for questioning of practices and does not ban or fire people from their jobs for doing so. What came as a surprise from the videos is how propaganda for vaccines and fake guidelines can come through social media and the press.
Its about time we accept the fact that we’re living in a world full of propaganda. And that in a world full of propaganda, the truth is a conspiracy.
